Field finalized for 5th annual Grand Open

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (FLX) — The field is officially set for the 5th Annual FLX Tour Grand Open, the second major of the season and the self-proclaimed “grand daddy of ‘em all.”

We head to Durand Eastman Golf Course on Saturday, June 27, with tee times beginning at 8 a.m.

A handful of early groups have already been locked in for accommodation requests — including a very special birthday celebration — but the remainder of the field will be placed into two hats, split up by handicaps to ensure a good pace of play, and drawn randomly for tee times. The date and time of that drawing will be announced soon.

As always, the Grand Open brings a strong mix of familiar faces and fresh energy. Several newcomers and rookies will be making their FLX Tour debut, joining a deep field of returning favorites who know exactly what it takes to compete in one of the season’s most unpredictable days.

This is a singles stroke play event with standard FLX handicap scoring. Pace of play rules remain in effect— max 10 strokes per hole. Pick it up and keep it moving.

The question heading into Durand is simple: who’s going to etch their name into FLX Tour history next?

Last year’s edition was played through historically rough weather conditions that tested every ounce of patience, swing, and sanity in the field. The good news? It would take something truly special for this year to top that chaos. So whatever Mother Nature has planned for June 27… we’re probably due for better.

See you at Durand. Bring your game — and maybe a little optimism.
