FLX Tour expands merch offerings, launches online store

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (FLX) — It’s never been a better time to be an FLX Tour fan.

Officials announced Friday an expanded merchandise selection with the launch of the Tour’s new Etsy store.

“I saw an Instagram reel for an easy way to make some money by connecting a Printify to an Etsy and obviously I had some time to kill at work and next thing you know, we got a functional store, I think,” said FLX Tour Co-Commissioner Matt Driffill.

The new Etsy store is currently offering T-shirts, hoodies, hats, and crewneck sweaters. The store also currently offers performance socks, underwear, and an official FLX Tour pint glass.

At press time, we have absolutely no idea if this system will actually work, but I suppose we’ll find out if/when an order is placed.

“I got some ball markers in my kitchen. Boxes of ’em. I don’t know how to put them on the internet, but that’s next on our to-do list,” FLX Tour Head of Content and Rules Czar Joey Mortillaro said.

Officials say they are excited about the initial roll out and think this is a great opportunity to continue to grow the game for fans and Tour pros alike.

Sources say leadership will look to continue to add items into the online store, including polos, pants, shorts, accessories, poster art, and more.

Tour officials say they will also continue to offer merch through locally sourced vendors, as they did with the initial polo drop earlier this season.

“Frankly we’ve been operating in the red all year long so hopefully this can inject a little capital into our operation,” FLX Tour Co-Commissioner Shane Driffill said. “Don’t get me wrong, I’m going to miss golfing when winter comes, but it’ll be nice not going to paycheck to paycheck because we’re buying all these stupid big checks and trophies.”

The FLX Tour’s 2023 season comes to a close at the FLX Cup, taking place at Shadow Lake Golf Club on October 14, 2023. Click here for more information on that tournament.
