FLX Tour announces dates for first three majors of 2026

The 2026 FLX Tour golf season is officially taking shape.

Tour officials have announced the dates and start times for the first three major tournaments of the year, giving players an early look at the competitive calendar as anticipation builds for the upcoming season.

The opening stretch of majors includes a mix of familiar venues and a notable scheduling adjustment designed to deliver the best possible course conditions.

2026 FLX Tour major schedule (so far)

  • Churchville Classic — Saturday, May 30 | 7:30 a.m. start | Churchville Golf Course | Two-man scramble
  • The Grand Open — Saturday, June 27 | 8 a.m. start | Durand Eastman Golf Course | Singles
  • The Genesee Invitational — Saturday, July 25 | 9:30 a.m. start | Genesee Valley Golf Course | Two-man best ball
  • Commissioner’s Cup — TBD
  • FLX Cup — TBD

“We don’t have the full picture yet, but three ain’t bad, and we wanted to get the confirmed dates out as soon as we could,” Co-Commissioner Matt Driffill said.

This year, the Churchville Classic and The Grand Open have swapped spots on the calendar. The change is driven by ongoing drainage construction and course maintenance at Durand, which tour officials believe will result in improved playing conditions later in June rather than late May. Conversely, Churchville traditionally plays better earlier in the season, making the adjustment a win for both events.

“Last year was brutal,” FLX Tour Head of Content and Rules Czar Joey Mortillaro said of the 2025 Grand Open.

“We’re always going to keep tinkering and experimenting with anything we can to improve the Tour experience for our pros and our fans,” Co-Commissioner Shane Driffill said. “We’re going to try switching the Classic and the Grand Open this year, see how it goes, and reassess next year.”

Looking ahead to the FLX Cup & Commissioner’s Cup

Final details for the FLX Cup are still being finalized as the tour works through course availability. Preliminary target dates for the season finale include:

  • August 29
  • September 12
  • September 19

No date or course yet for this year’s Commissioner’s Cup, but we’re working on it, OK? You’ll hear from us when you need to about it, OK?

The season begins off the course

The countdown to the 2026 season began this past Saturday with the FLX Tour Golf Banquet and Awards Show — better known as The Flexies. The event brought the tour community together to celebrate standout performances from the 2025 season, hand out hardware, and officially turn the page toward another competitive year.

This year’s Flexies winners:

Rookie of the Year – Nick
Best Dressed – Boston
Most Improved – Bmoyns
Least Improved – Gene
Biggest Digger – Danny D
Shot of the Year – Valletta
Humanitarian of the Year – Dan Driffill Sr.
Fan Favorite (Young Gentlemen of the Year) – Chuck Pace
Young Man of The Year – Shane D

More details on additional events, registration timelines, and the finalized FLX Cup schedule will be announced in the coming weeks. STAY TUNED.

WE’LL MAKE THE FRIDGE MAGNETS WHEN WE HAVE THE FULL SCHEDULE, OK?
