Tee times, pairings announced for 2024 Grand Open

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (FLX) — Ladies and gentlemen, we are just a few days away from the biggest tournament of the year!

The 2024 Grand Open, the most prestigious tournament on the FLX Tour’s calendar each year, kicks off at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Robert Trent Jones-designed Durand Eastman Golf Course.

Tour pros and fans got a glimpse of the action Wednesday night for the live pairings and tee time selection show. Manned only by one member of leadership (as Shane was working on a car bumper, and Joe was off getting engaged), the stream went relatively smoothly for using Discord streaming for the first time. Lot of promise with that platform, many people are saying.

In any event, after a number of scandals (very rare for the FLX Tour, especially this time of year), withdrawawls, and trades, the groupings are finally set. The 36-man field is officially the largest in FLX history, and 4.5x larger than the original framers of the Consitution that set out on this challenge of a lifetime two years ago. Although some may say the Grow the Game mentality has reached capacity, the proof is in the pudding that the stonks are up MFs, amirite donut guy?

In any event, here is what we’re looking at on Saturday:

Tee TimeGroup
7:30 a.mBoston Siwiec, Danny Driffill, Mike Mortillaro, Ryan Netzchke
7:40 a.m.Dan Driffill Sr., Dom Trento, Gene Ferrera, Chad Christ
7:50 a.m.Josh Kowalski, Patrick Moynihan, Chris Miers, Dan Graves
8:00 a.m.Todd Horne, Tom Deiure, Josh Valletta, Kevin Moynihan
8:10 a.m.Mike Converse, Alex Dooley Miko, Nathan Wirth, Jon Thorpe
8:20 a.m.Ryan Pancione, Brandon Moynihan, Ryan Wirth, Kyle Pierce
8:30 a.m.Dan Riesenberger, Brendan Milward, Chuck Pace, Lou Englert
8:40 a.m. Joey Mortillaro, Ben Annal, Sean Sawyer, Steve Nally
8:50 a.m.Tim Dorsheimer, Brier Koroly, Shane Driffill, Matt Driffill

Look at all those names and times.

Reminder to pros this is a singles tournament, net score determines the winner. $20 entry will get you a breakfast ball on hole 1 and fund the closest-to-the-pin challenge on par 3 hole 17.

Additional breakfast balls can be purchased on hole 10 for $5 and those extra frunds will be added to the winner’s purse. Reminder that breafkast balls are provisional and Tour pros will have the option of which shot to play.

Uncle Matty is a little too busy today at work to further elaborate into the rules guide. Hoping some other leaders come through and can help with that!

Pros are encouraged to show up early for the production and media team that will be on site, as well as encouraged to stick around after for the photo and check presentation. Champions luncheon will be held at Shamrock Jack’s after the tournament because traditions are important.

Get fuckin’ pumped bros.
