2022 Grand Open

Hard to believe that the prestigious Grand Open began with these humble beginnings. These eight men battled the cold and difficulties on June 19, 2022 at Durand Eastman Golf Club for the first-ever FLX Tour major, the Grand Open. Tim Dorsheimer captured the crown and etched his name in history with the inaugural chapter of an important league. This was a monumental day in FLX Tour history.
2022 Genesee Invitational

This picture was taken several months later, but it does represent the “Cave Man Era” of the FLX Tour that was the 2022 Genesee Invitational. Included in the “Big 5” in the photo above is four of the major winners at the first two-man best ball tournament on Tour. The team of Matt Driffill (left in green) and Shane Driffill (center with yellow beanie) tied Joey Mortillaro (right with backward cap) and Josh Valletta (back left with white beanie) for the win. Brandon Moynihan (back center with dreads) did not win that day, but is always a winner with an all-time fun meter.
This was back when there was no tie breakers or handicaps and no one really knew what we were doing. Josh showed up on hole three. Formative times. Mortillaro sank a miracle birdie putt on 17 to push for the tie in one of the more dramatic moments in Tour history. This picture was taken several months later at one of the Big 5’s famous conferences.
2022 Churchville Classic

Donning matching polo shirts, the team of Joey Mortillaro and Danny Driffill are front and center for the picture after their victory at the inaugural Churchville Classic held on Saturday, July 30, 2022. It was Mortillaro’s second major victory in a team tournament and Driffill’s first.
2022 FLX Cup

The Champions Luncheon, a rich tradition after FLX Tour events. This luncheon occurred at Shamrock Jack’s after Matt Driffill (center, holding scorecard), took home the title at the first-ever FLX Cup held on August 21, 2022 with a gross score — and career best — of 80.
2023 Grand Open

It was one of the largest and most competive fields to date on the FLX Tour, but Brier Koroly (center with check) emerged victorious at the 2023 Grand Open held at Durand Eastman Golf Course on June 10, 2023. In just one year there was a 300% increase in Tour Pros participating in the event, a promising sign of things to come for the FLX Tour.
2023 Churchville Classic

Another epic chapter in FLX Tour history on July 8, 2023 as Danny Driffill and Mike Mortillaro win the 2023 Churchville Classic. The two-man scramble style tournament introduced handicap scoring for this year’s event and it made all the difference. It was also the debut of the FLX Tour’s first line of merchandise with green and white polo shirts and ball makers. Very nice time (VNT).
2023 Genesee Invitational

Another historic day for the FLX Tour on August 27, 2023, as Sean Sawyer and Patrick Moynihan won the 2023 Genesee Invitational. The two-man best-ball style tournament brought Sawyer and Moynihan each their first major title ever in what was the largest field to date for an FLX Tour event. #VNT. #GrowTheGame
2023 FLX Cup

The 2023 FLX Cup brought about drama in the highest order. Held at Shadow Lake Golf Club on October 14, 2023, the Tour pros battled the cold, wind, and rain in an effort to lay claim to history. As the final major of the season, it also presented a challenge for the first every Young Man of the Year Award, the FLX Tour’s Player of the Year, essentially. Ryan Pancione won the tournmanet with an impressive net score of 67. ’till next year!
2024 Grand Open

With 35 contestants battling it out in beautiful conditions on June 1, 2024, FLX Tour rookie Ryan Netchke finished with three birdies in the last four holes to win the Grand Open and cement his legacy forever. Well done, youngster!
2024 Churchville Classic

Another epic chapter in FLX Tour history at the 2024 Churchville Classic on July 27. Perrenial bell-ringer Nathan Wirth and his trusty partner Chad Christ put on a clinic with a net score of 61 to etch their names into the Hall of Champions forever. 32 youngsters battled it out for a total prize pool of over $650. Although only two were crowned champions that day, all left smiling after a special, special time.
2024 Genesee Invitational

36 youngsters featured the biggest field in FLX Tour History at the Genesee Invitational, held on Sunday, August 25, 2024. At the end of the day, it was the pre-tournament favorites of Sean Sawyer and Shane Driffill who received the The Big Check and the hardware. With their score of -9, they joined Matt Driffill, Danny Driffill, and Joey Mortillaro as the only two-time major champions to date in FLX Tour history. And what a storied history it is!
2024 FLX Cup

A field of 40 became the Tour’s largest field ever for the FLX Cup at The Links at Greystone on Saturday, October 5, 2024. The final major of the season brought out drama in the highest order, with multiple possible winners battling it out through the final group, but when the dust settled it was 2023 Young Man of the Year, “Uncle Chris” Miers, who reigned supreme for the day and claimed his first major victory. The tournament also brought about a tie for 2024 YMOTY, prompting the first-ever playoff for player of the year (forthcoming). HISTORY!
2025 Grand Open

This one had it all: Largest field ever in Tour history, terrible weather, unneccesary drama, 16 withdraws. 44 entered, 43 showed up, and only 28 finished play in a major tournament that won’t be soon forgotten. A tie-breaking putt-off was ultimately moot after a scorecard correction was issued, and Danny Driffill laid claim the throne, becoming the first player in FLX Tour history to win three major championships.
2025 Churchville Classic

44 young men teed it up for the 4th annual Churchville Classic on July 19, 2025, tying the largest field in Tour history to date. When the dust settled, Chad Christ became a repeat champion, as he and partner Nick Kozak overcame Shane Driffill and Josh Kowalski in the first-ever playoff. Drama. Electricity. Words don’t do it justice. Special.
2025 Genesee Invitational

August 24, 2025 was a spectacular day at the valley that saw 40 young men battling it out in the annual two-man best ball tournament. Ben Annal and Eric Spanbaeur broke through with their first major tournament victory with a final net score of -8, with three times at their heels tied for -7. The game keeps growing and the Tour pros mean business.
2025 FLX Cup

48 men, the largest field in FLX Tour history, teed it up on October 4, 2025 at Ravenwood Golf Course for the 4th annual FLX Cup. The cream rose to the top as Uncle Chris Miers won the tournament for the second consecutive year with a net score 69. Shane Driffill also made history by claiming the 2025 Danny Ott Young Man of the Year. A special finish to special season on the FLX Tour.
