Tee times set for 5th annual Grand Open at Durand Eastman

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (FLX) — The wait is over. The tee times are set, the field is finalized, and the stage is ready for the granddaddiest of them all.

The 5th Annual Grand Open tees off Saturday, June 27, at historic Durand Eastman Golf Course, where 44 young men will battle for glory, history, honor, and a place in the FLX Tour record books. The Grand Open remains the Tour’s signature singles championship and one of the most coveted titles of the season.

What began as an eight-player gathering in 2022 has grown into one of the premier events on the FLX calendar, drawing competitors from across the region and producing champions whose names now live forever in the Hall of Champions. Previous winners include Tim Dorsheimer (2022), Brier Koroly (2023), Ryan Netchke (2024), and defending champion Danny Driffill (2025).

The action begins promptly at 8 a.m. As always, the format is simple: one round, lowest net score wins. No teammates. No partners. No excuses.

Entry for the event is $25, and thanks to player participation and league contributions, the winner will take home a minimum grand prize of $500, with additional payouts and contests adding even more juice to the day.

Perhaps most importantly, the weather appears ready to cooperate. Early forecasts call for comfortable temperatures, light winds, and ideal scoring conditions — meaning nobody can blame Mother Nature if things go sideways.

So who will rise to the occasion?

Will a former champion add another major to their résumé? Can a Tour newcomer shock the establishment? Will a dark horse emerge from one of the middle groups and post a number nobody can catch?

One thing is certain: by Saturday afternoon, another chapter of FLX Tour history will be written.

The only question remaining is:

Who will be holding the check?
