Commissioner’s Cup returns May 2 at Shadow Lake

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (FLX) — One of the most dramatic events on the FLX Tour calendar is back to kick off the 2026 season.

The Commissioner’s Cup returns Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Shadow Lake Golf Club, bringing with it team pride, live drafting drama and a rivalry that continues to simmer.

First tee time is scheduled for 8 a.m., with five foursomes heading out in Ryder Cup-style competition. Two teams of 10 players will battle it out across the course, with two alternates selected per team to round out the rosters.

As always, the teams will be drafted live by FLX Tour commissioners Matt and Shane—a moment that has become a Commissioner’s Cup tradition all its own. And the stakes couldn’t be clearer.

Team Matt enters the 2026 edition riding high after winning the past two Commissioner’s Cups. Team Shane, meanwhile, is hungry for revenge and looking to flip the script after two straight years of coming up short.

Bragging rights are on the line. So is legacy.

Golfers interested in competing in this year’s Commissioner’s Cup should fill out the participation form to indicate availability and interest. Spots are limited, and selection is never guaranteed — but the drama is.

If history is any indication, May 2 at Shadow Lake will deliver plenty of pressure putts, questionable captain decisions and at least one score that will be argued about all season.
