Team Matt prevails in Commissioner’s Cup ass whoopin’

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (FLX) — When the dust settled, it was the dark-haired twin who reigned supreme at the first-ever Commissioner’s Cup. And frankly, it was an ass-whooping.

Team Matt was victorious over Team Shane at the 2024 Commssioner’s Cup Saturday at Genesee Valley Golf Course.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the National Anthem (after an hour delay to the start of the tournament). Goosebumps. Sang beautifully by Joey Mortillaro and the chorus of FLX Tour pros. Go get ’em boys!

Once play started, it went back and forth through nine holes, but as the foursomes reached the back 9, Team Matt pulled away, securing victory when the final group tied hole 16.

“This one wasn’t business,” Commissioner’s Cup Champion Matt Driffill said. “This one was personal.”
