Babe, wake up! New FLX Tour Meet the Pros just dropped!
Today we’re getting to know none other than Eastidge football legend, Ryan Wirth. Older bro to Tour fan favorite, Nathan “Dirt” Wirth, Ryan brings class and elegance to the Tour and has a tendency to radiate a sense of calm within his foursomes — not one to kick an old dog when their down.
Old heads will remeber R. Wirth as an instrumental function of the 2004 Eastridge Football Section V championship season. No. 52 on the field, No. 1 in our hearts. Then. Now. Forever.
R. Wirth made his FLX Tour debut in 2023 and has his eyes on the prize for the upcoming season. Let’s get to know Ryan!
Name
— Ryan Wirth
Birthday
— December 9 1987 (year of the rabbit)
FLX Tour Nickname
— Ry Guy is probably what I still get called the most.
How long can you hit your driver?
— About 675 feet. If you measure in feet it seems longer.
What is your current handicap?
— 28
Who is your FLX Tour rival?
— No one yet. I’ll try to make something happen this year.
What’s your favorite course?
— Evergreen Golf Course in Colorado. Elk hang out by the 11th fairway. They’re cool, they let you play through.
What’s your least favorite course?
— City Park in Colorado. Impossible greens.
Which three people would you choose for your dream foursome?
— My Dad and two brothers
What’s your dream achievement as an FLX Tour pro?
— To be able to make all of the major events without my work schedule interfering.
What’s your career best score on 18 holes and what course was it?
— 96 at Evergreen
What advice would you give to any youngsters out there dreaming of one day playing on the Tour?
— Think about what you’re going to eat or drink the night before a tournament. Golf is hard enough before you throw potential diarrhea in the mix.
How would you rate your experience on the FLX Tour out of 10?
— 10/10
Another satisfied customer!
Absolutely explosive stuff. Electric. I’m shaking, to be frank.
This hotdogger just casually name dropping Colorado courses like the rest of us are Monroe County muninicipal men. Salute to you Ry Guy.
R. Wirth, his brother, and all the other Tour pros have the focus on June 1 when the FLX Tour’s Grand Daddy of ’em All will commence: The Grand Open. We cannot wait.
