Last call for 2024 Grand Open registration

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (FLX) – The 2024 Commissioner’s Cup is less than two weeks away, but that isn’t stopping leadership from keeping their focus forward.

FLX officials sent a reminder Tuesday to veteran pros and newcomers alike that time is ticking for them to sign up to be eligible for the first major the season: The 2024 Grand Open.

Want to play in the grand daddy of ’em all? Fill out this form. For Tour pros who have already filled out the survey, you’re all set and do not need to fill it out again.

For those who haven’t, you risk having your name called alongside legends of the game like Dorsheimer and Koroly.

The first major of the season, and perhaps the most consequential tournament of the year, The Grand Open, will commence on Saturday, June 1, 2024 starting at 7:30 a.m. and, as is tradition, will be held at the historic Durand Eastman Golf Course, in Irondequoit, New York.

According to sources, FLX Tour leadership are expecting up to 40 participants for this year’s Grand Open, which would be the largest field in Tour history. The Grand Open is, of course, a singles tournament and an FLX major with enshrinement for the winner in the Hall of Champions, as well as some pivotal Young Man of the Year points up for grabs.

“There’s a lot of buzz around the Tour this year and we’re expecting a vibrant turnout come June 1,” FLX Tour Co-Commissioner Shane Driffill said. “We are encouraging all of those who are genuinely interested in playing on Tour this year to fill out the form so we can prepare accordingly.”

“There’s a ton of paperwork to do, blood,” said FLX Tour Co-Commissioner Matt Driffill. “I still gotta post the scores from the preseason tournament at Lakeshore this weekend. I’m up to my neck in it.”

“Just make the content Matty,” said FLX Tour Head of Content Joey Mortillaro.

Despite the mountain of paperwork ahead of a select few officials, the FLX Tour is indubitably back.
