Draft date, time set for inaugural Commissioner’s Cup

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (FLX) — The FLX Tour is back and there is no surer sign than the first-ever live draft for the inaugural Commissioner’s Cup, taking place May 11 at the world famous Genesee Valley Golf Course.

FLX Tour Commissioner’s Shane and Matt Driffill will select their teams for the event at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 25. The draft will be live broadcasted from the FLX Tour’s Instagram account.

For those who have filled out the participation form, your answers for Saturday availability and entry into the draft are all set. If you haven’t yet filled out the form, you can do so here.

Due to the cancellation of Sunday action, FLX Tour officials previously announced that teams will be expanded to 10 vs 10 in a two-man best ball match play format. Willing participants must have registered in the form above, and have at least 10 rounds logged on the 18 Birdies app to be eligible for competition.

“We’re really excited for draft night and we expect it to be a lot of fun,” FLX Tour Co-Commissioner Shane Driffill said. “Not everyone on Tour will be selected for this event, but it’s still a great way to kick off the season as pros being preparation for the Grand Open.”

“Open the fuckin munis already Bello,” FLX Tour Co-Commissioner Matt Driffill said.
