It’s that special time again …. we’re back with FLX Tour’s Meet the Pros!
DONUT count this young man out! Jesse Cramer is one of the FLX’s strongest rookies in the 2023 season and currently boasts a respectable T-18 ranking for Young Man of the Year, despite only appearing in two majors this season. The Wayne County native has made a home for himself in Monroe, but the wolf howls at midnight son.
Jesse is known as a bonafide numbers guy, and authors a fantastic finance blog called The Best Interest. He’s also contributed to the most in-depth stats break down to date in Tour history, but he’s also known on Tour for his generosity.
Jesse reached out to Tour Commissioners the night before the Genesee Invitational to tell them he was considering bringing donuts before for Pros to enjoy and he wanted to make sure that no one else was doing so to avoid redundancies. The commissioners laughed it off, assuring to the young man that no one else on Tour is that kind or thoughftul, present company included!
Let’s get to know Jesse!

— March 22, 1990 (year of the horse)

— Donut Guy
How long can you hit your driver?
— 260 at the Genny, 275 if not playing in Flood Plains
What is your current handicap?
— 17
Who is your FLX Tour rival?
— Steve Nally was extremely kind during our 20-second conversation at Shamrock Jack’s. Sus.
What’s your favorite course?
— Being a 315-er, I have a soft spot for the two gems of Wayne County, Greystone and Wayne Hills.*
*Editor’s note: Sodus Bay Heights also very nice for a WayCo course.
What’s your least favorite course?
— Genesee Valley South. Plays exactly as you’d expect a former airfield to play.
Which three people would you choose for your dream foursome?
— Wow, where to start? Always had a soft spot for Natalie Portman. Oh — this is a golf question?
What’s your dream achievement as an FLX Tour pro?
— Baby steps. I’d love to get a top 3 finish under my belt. Establish myself on Tour, ya know? Then get a tourney win. And eventually, gods willing, that sweet nectar of the Young Man of the Year.

— 81. Harvest Hills in Buffalo. Great course. Nice time.
What advice would you give to any youngsters out there dreaming of one day playing on the Tour?

How would you rate your experience on the FLX Tour out of 10?
— 10/10
WORLD CLASS QUALITY ONCE AGAIN!
What a chipper snapper. Between donuts and stats breakdowns, Jesse is quickly raising his profile on Tour as a fan favorite. A friendly and approachable young man, he has a bright future as an FLX pro and we know it’ll be when, not if, he reaches the winner’s circle at a major tournament.
And he’ll have one more opportunity before the sun sets on the 2023 season. The final major of the season, the FLX Cup, takes place on Saturday, October 14 at Shadow Lake Golf Club.
